Another thing anti-vegetarians tend to do is throw around the name "Adolf Hitler" as an excuse to hate vegetarians. Well... Was he not a vegetarians? ...Yes, actually it's true he was a vegetarian. ...But to use that as a reason to hate vegetarians? ...No, just no.

Also of note was that a lot of famous people were vegetarians, too, including Mohandas Gandhi and Albert Einstein and many other great people. Was Mohandas Gandhi and Albert Einstein evil? ...I think not.

I will mention, though, that not very many have actually used this excuse. HOWEVER, this excuse has not been unheard of.

Anyone else notice that the entire "Vegans are superior" crap is a textbook copy of Adolf's Ideas...

Note: not saying all vegans think this way.

Frankly, I'm not sure that effects much. It may push the stereotype further, but not much else.

I just find using Hitler, Gandhi or Einstein in vegetarianism debates retarded (except when someone jumps with the "all vegetarianz ar evul!!1" or "all vegetarianz aer gud ppl!!11!" or something like that).

I agree. It says nothing about the diet. Otherwise you might as well say that people eating meat are all evil because most terrorists like Osama Bin Laden weren't vegans.

I love this stamp. Currently I am NOT a vegetarian, but for the past five years I have been off and on. I'll admit that I'm not for selfish reasonings, I am in recovery and because I'm allergic to nuts and need to be eating a certain amount of protein, I occasionally have some chicken noodle soup.
